Exchange Students for life! :)

Hello everyone! :)

My last post I was saying how I was slowing down and everything was becoming easier. Well, these past days have all of a sudden picked right up, and I was busier than ever. I can finally sit on my computer and try to write all that I can. Of course, all of my pictures are on Facebook if you would like to look at all of those. I have gone to visit some old and beautiful buildings with Anika and my host family, and I have visited some old cities that were also beautiful.

Anika and I first went to visit a place called La Rotonda- a mansion famous for having four identical entrances and sides. It was quite large and very beautiful, as most buildings in Italy are.
There were lots of ancient statues all over the building, so of course Anika and I wanted to pose with all of them.. :) It was a beautiful afternoon and we had plenty to look at. We even came across a "Secret Garden" which was a little road covered in green vines and cobblestone walls. It was so pretty!

The next mini adventure I went on was to Cittadella with my host mom, her friend, and her friend's son. There was a festival that day, celebrating the history of Italy and how people lived back in the day. They dressed up in costumes that were ancient-looking and they had booths along the street that sold hand made things such as candles or wooden toys.

After we walked around the street, we decided to go up on to the city walls where we could walk and see the view of the entire city of Cittadella. It was a fantastic view.

This is the wall that you can walk up and around the entire city. It is very old, yet still standing!

The view of Cittadella. So Italian! :)

The final big trip that I just returned from was from Brisighella, a small city about 2 hours away from Vicenza. Almost every single exchange student in Italy went to this orientation. There were 108 of us, and it was amazing! There were people from all over the world- Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Finland, Germany, Austria, India, and of course America. I got to meet so many new and interesting people, but the people I bonded the best with was my district. We are called District 2060, which means we all live in an area of Italy that is close to each other. Of course Anika and Brock and I were all together, but we also were with about 12 other kids (more or less). Here are a few pictures from my trip:

 District 2060!

A pretty view of the castle tower in Brisighella.

It was definitely a fantastic trip and I was very fortunate to have been able to go. Our district 2060 will get to see each other more- we have more trips planned ahead for us! I can't wait to see them again, they were fantastic :)

And now, I must sleep. I will (hopefully) write a bit more often now that I have no more trips planned for the near future! Goodnight, and I will write soon! :)
